28mm British Infantry in Afghanistan and Sudan 1877-1885 (36 Figures) is a set of thirty-six multi-part plastic figures of British colonial infantry.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-six unpainted figures of British infantry from the colonial campaigns of 1877 to 1885, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. One set therefore covers two different theaters, because the kit for both campaigns was essentially the same.
British infantry of this period wore a pith helmet and in the field a faded khaki or red tunic, depending on the campaign and the unit. It fought in close formations, because against a numerous and fast opponent the square was the only way to keep up continuous fire in every direction. That is exactly why scenes from these wars are so striking on the table: a small formation surrounded by overwhelming numbers.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Choose the color of the tunic according to the campaign you are building and leave it faded, as new, deeply red uniforms did not last long in the field.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
