28mm Mahdist Ansar - Sudanese Tribesman 1881-1885 (40 Figures) is a set of forty multi-part plastic figures of Sudanese warriors of the Mahdist revolt.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of forty unpainted figures of Sudanese warriors of 1881 to 1885, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. With an irregular force that is especially useful, because a row of identical figures would be out of place.
The Mahdist revolt was a religious movement that swept away Egyptian rule in Sudan and in 1885 took Khartoum. Its fighters were called the Ansar, that is, the helpers, and they fought with spear, sword and captured rifles. British and Egyptian troops formed the infantry square against them, because the Mahdist attack was fast, numerous and went straight for close contact.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Build the white robe up from a light gray and leave pure white for the highest points, and add the colored patches that were characteristic of these fighters.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
