A cast resin set of accessories for the Soviet BA-64B light armored car in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. It holds separate parts of equipment and cargo that are added to a finished model. As base kit it names the BA 64 B from MiniArt. The manufacturer also offers a separate set focused on the same car in German service, designated (r).
The BA-64 was a Soviet light armored car on the chassis of the GAZ cross-country vehicle, with an armored body of faceted plates and an open turret with a machine gun. From 1943 the BA-64B version had a wider wheel track and better stability. Over nine thousand of the cars were built and they served for reconnaissance, liaison and escort until the end of the war and afterwards with other armies.
First rinse the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-tooth saw rather than snapping them. Sanding is better done under water or with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic will not hold on resin. A primer is needed before painting. Soviet green takes a strong wash, which brings out the small items of equipment.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
