A 3D interior decal for building the rally car Peugeot 206 WRC in 1:24 scale from the Russian brand Quinta Studio. It is a printed relief part finished in color on decal paper, which takes the place of painting the dashboard, the roll cage and the other surfaces of a racing interior. The box gives the Peugeot from Tamiya as the target kit. The kit and paints are not included in the package.
The Peugeot 206 WRC was a rally special built to the rules of the world rally championship of the time. Compared with the production hatchback it received widened fenders, all-wheel drive and a turbocharged engine, and in the years around the turn of the millennium it was among the most successful cars in the category. The interior of a rally special is rewarding for the modeler: the roll cage, the fire suppression system, the switches and the braced seats have nothing in common with a civilian car.
3D decals are not applied like an ordinary decal. Paint the surface in the cabin first and give it a gloss coat, because a decal will not settle on a matte surface. Dip the part briefly in warm water, lift it off the paper and set it in place; the makers recommend helping it with white PVA glue. Then press the shape down carefully with a cotton swab so that the relief follows the surface beneath, and let it dry thoroughly. Do not use solvent-based decal softeners, as they can damage the surface.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
