Six resin wheels for the Italian Autoblinda armored cars in 1:35 scale. They reproduce the period tires intended for European terrain.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of six resin wheels for the Italian Autoblinda armored cars. The count matches the four wheels on the vehicle and two spares, which these cars carried on the sides of the hull. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a replacement for the parts from the basic box.
Italian armored cars were fitted during the war with several types of tire depending on where they served. From 1942 the type known as Sigillo Verde, the green seal, was used for European terrain, that is, for Italy and the Balkans. For North Africa, by contrast, types intended for sand were used, with a different tread pattern and a different size. The choice of wheels is therefore not just a technical detail: it determines where the vehicle in your display case was operating.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to get rid of any mold release agent, or the paint will not hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the face down with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Do not paint the tire black: a slightly gray tone with dust at the sidewalls looks truer than black from the bottle.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and serves as an addition to a kit, which it does not contain.
