The real subject

Canvas covers commonly appeared on these machines: they were stretched over the crew compartment against rain and dust, protected stowed material or were carried rolled up on the sides and on the fenders. Building and painting tips

Cut away surplus material with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and carefully sand the remainder, so as not to damage the relief of the cloth. Before painting, wash the part and degrease it, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface. Try the part dry before you glue it on and fill any gaps with putty. Canvas looks good when you lay a thinned darker glaze over the base shade, which runs into the folds, and then accentuate the edges with drybrushing in a lighter tone.
