Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT, in the form with the DWC 1943 mark. The manufacturer gives ten pieces in the package. The jerrycans are fixed to the hull, the fenders or the brackets of a finished model, and they serve equally well as a scenic accessory in a diorama. For this set the manufacturer gives the year 1943, so it suits vehicles from the second half of the war.
Jerrycans are among the most rewarding accessories on a military model: they are small, but on a fender or on the hull they are visible at once and they break up the uniform surface of the armor. Their shape, with three handles and ribbed sides, is moreover recognized by everyone, so the eye reads the scale of the model straight away. Ten pieces in the package are enough for two or three vehicles, and when painting it pays to give each jerrycan a different degree of wear, so that the group does not look mass-produced.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
