An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The set contains four figures of American marines of the US Marine Corps in Iraq in 2003 in combat poses. The figures come with modern equipment and armament, including body armor vests and helmets. They are supplied on sprues and have to be glued together and painted.
The set captures American marines from the opening phase of the operation in Iraq in 2003. The soldiers wore modern combat equipment with body armor vests and helmets and they were armed with weapons of the day: assault rifles, grenade launchers and light machine guns for squad fire support. The set renders the tactical look of the infantrymen of that time factually.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and clean up the parting lines. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. Paint the desert camouflage patterns in acrylic in layers and bring the equipment and the vests out with a wash and a dry brush. Build the faces up in thinned layers. A fine dusty touch will give the figures a desert character. A matte varnish at the end will unify the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
