A set of workable plastic tracks for the British Valentine infantry tank in 1:35 scale from Bronco. It is not a vehicle model, but an accessory for a kit that is already built: the individual links join into a track run that stays movable and can be shaped over the road wheels.
The Valentine was a British infantry tank, that is a machine with thick armor and a low top speed, intended to support advancing infantry. It came about as a private initiative of the Vickers company and became the most numerously built British tank of the war; a large part of production went to the Soviet Union under military aid, where the vehicles earned a good reputation for their reliability. The running gear consisted of three large road wheels on each side with smaller ones between them, and the track was fairly narrow.
Deburr the links carefully and sand back the mold lines before you start joining them. Apply liquid cement sparingly and only at the designated points, so that it does not run into the joints and destroy the movement. Count the number of links you need from the instructions before you close the run. Paint the track separately from the hull and fit it last, so that a natural sag can be shaped. On the Valentine the track between the large road wheels is clearly visible, so it pays to give its inner face attention too.
It is an accessory set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
