A pre-cut self-adhesive mask set in 1:48 scale for the clear parts and for the landing gear wheels. The single-sided version covers the outer side of the framing. The masks are cut out and numbered, so no cutting is needed and each one is easy to place correctly. The manufacturer intends the set for the ICM AH-6J Little Bird kit. It is not a model of the helicopter or a part of one, but an aid for painting.
The AH-6J Little Bird is a light attack helicopter of the US Army for special operations, derived from the small single-engine machines of the OH-6 and MD 500 family. It has a glazed cabin with a large area of transparencies and is usually armed with machine gun pods and rocket pods on side mounts. It is exactly that large area of clear parts that makes masking one of the most laborious parts of the build.
For modelers who build the AH-6J in 1:48 scale and want the cabin frames and the wheel rims cleanly separated. The pre-cut film saves tracing and cutting out the frames, of which there are many on a glazed cabin.
