A set of cast wheels for the American Boeing B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Plusmodel. According to its name this is the version with a diamond tread pattern. The tread is exactly the detail that tells one batch of tires from another, and on a large aircraft standing on its gear it is clearly visible.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was a four-engine heavy bomber with radial engines, a pressurized cabin and remotely controlled gun turrets. In its day it was the most advanced combat aircraft of all and its development cost more than many other armament programs. It was used above all in the Pacific and later in the Korean War.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw so that the cut falls where the wheel meets the ground. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tires dark gray, leave the crown lighter and apply a dark wash into the tread, which will bring the pattern out. Set the wheel rims apart with a metallic shade and dust the lower part of the wheels only lightly.
The set is an accessory for a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
