A set of color photo-etched steel seat belts in 1:32 scale, intended for the cockpit of the Macchi MC.200 Saetta model from Italeri. It is not a model of an aircraft but a cockpit accessory – the kit is not included in the package. Compared with brass, steel is more malleable and holds its shape better, so the belts can be bent, rippled and left hanging freely over the edge of the seat exactly as they look on the real aircraft. The parts come printed in color from the factory, so you do not have to paint them laboriously by hand.
For modelers who build the Saetta in the large 1:32 scale from Italeri and want realistic belts in an open cockpit instead of flat plastic or decal substitutes. In 1:32 the cockpit is simply visible and the seat belts are one of the first details the eye notices. The Macchi MC.200 Saetta was an Italian fighter with a radial engine which served with the Regia Aeronautica from the end of the 1930s and fought over the Mediterranean, in North Africa and on the Eastern Front. Fitting is easy even for less experienced modelers, because the belts need no painting.
This is an accessory for a plastic model. The kit, paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
