A resin set of oxygen tanks and cylinders in 1:72 scale for completing the interior of an aircraft model or a servicing scene. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set in 1:72 scale with oxygen tanks and cylinders is meant for modelers who want to bring detail into a small scale that an injection mold cannot manage. The castings have sharp shapes and a smooth surface and suit the interior of a model as well as the scene around it. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory to be fitted to a finished kit or into a diorama.
In aviation, compressed oxygen was carried in pressure vessels of various sizes, from tanks built into the equipment bays of an aircraft to the smaller cylinders used for servicing on the ground. In 1:72 scale these are small parts, but it is exactly they that tell an empty-looking model apart from a scene where the machine is plainly in service. Sets of this kind therefore rarely last for a single project and stay in stock for dioramas.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the mating faces; at this scale, work with tweezers and preferably over a tray with a raised edge so that the small parts are not lost. Sand the resin wet and with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a filler primer before painting, then a base shade and a dark wash that pulls out the bands and the valves. Finally lighten the upper edges of the cylinders gently.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
