A demanding multimedia resin kit of the Austro-Hungarian Aviatik (Berg) D.I fighter biplane in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer HPH Models. It combines resin parts with photo-etched parts and other multimedia additions and is intended for advanced modelers and collectors.
The Aviatik (Berg) D.I was the first fighter of native Austro-Hungarian design, the work of the engineer Julius von Berg. This single-seat biplane reached operational service in 1917 and 1918 and was notable for good flying performance and for its characteristic slender fuselage with a good view for the pilot.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off carefully, clean up the surfaces and bond the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); attach the photo-etched parts with super glue as well. Protect your airways when sanding resin. A primer, an airbrush and careful tensioning of the rigging are recommended for a faithful biplane appearance.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
