A handheld vise for small parts, from DSPIAE. It is held in the palm, so the part can be turned during work.
Responsibility details are not available.
A vise that does not stand on the bench but is held in the palm. Against a table-top one it has a different merit: the part can be turned smoothly right in the middle of work, so the stroke of the tool does not have to be interrupted. It suits everywhere clamping into a fixed vise would mean constant readjustment, that is above all sanding and cleaning up small parts after they have been cut from the sprue.
Tighten the jaws only enough for the part to hold; under excessive pressure plastic is permanently dented. Hold the vise so that the tool moves away from the hand holding it, not toward it. For filing and sanding it pays to rest your wrist on the bench, otherwise the whole assembly shakes and the cut is irregular.
A handheld vise does not replace a table-top one where real force is needed, for instance when drilling into metal. There the part has to rest on a firm base, otherwise the tool bites in and the whole assembly spins.
The model and tools are not included in the package.
A handheld vise is worth it even if you already have a table-top one. Jobs in which the part is constantly being turned go badly in a fixed clamp, and readjusting it after every stroke is a delay that eventually tells on the quality.
