DSPIAE PMT-H09 is precut masking tape with hexagons nine millimeters in size. The largest size in the range, intended for large scales and robot figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of masking tape with finished hexagons nine millimeters in size. It is the largest size in the whole range and it suits places where the honeycomb pattern is meant to be pronounced and readable at a glance: large scales, robot figures, covers and panels on which a small hexagon would blur into noise.
Either way is possible. You stick the hexagons themselves on and spray around them, so that the honeycomb stays in the underlying color, or you leave the surrounding frame on the model and the new paint reaches only the pattern. By combining the two procedures a multicolor transition can also be created, in which the honeycomb gradually fades out from one edge of a surface.
The set is aimed at builders of robot figures and modern military subjects, where the honeycomb pattern is used most often. Nine millimeters is a size for large surfaces; on smaller models reach for the smaller sizes in the same range so that the pattern matches the scale.
The tape is a masking aid, not a decal. Once the spraying is done and it has been taken off, it is thrown away.
