WWII USN Anchor and Anchor Chain 1:350 (Flyhawk)

A detail set from the Flyhawk brand in 1:350 scale. This is NOT a ship model but an accessory: a set of faithful anchors and anchor chain for warships of the US Navy of the Second World War period. The anchors are rendered as small parts and the chain has realistic links.

What the set is for

  • It replaces coarse plastic anchors and unconvincing imitations of chain with a finer, realistic rendering.
  • It raises the detail of the bow and the anchor gear of the model.
  • It suits as an accessory to American surface ships in this scale.

Building tips

  • Separate the small parts with tweezers and a sharp knife, and glue them with cyanoacrylate.
  • Straighten the chain carefully and paint it separately before you fit it.
  • Degrease the parts before painting; an airbrush and a primer suited to metal are ideal.

This is a detail accessory (anchors and chain), not a ship kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
