A set of unpainted figures of the Persian army of King Xerxes in 1:72 scale, that is the army of the Achaemenid Empire of the 5th century BC.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Persian king Xerxes ruled the Achaemenid Empire in the 5th century BC, and his army belongs among the best-known images of antiquity. It was not a uniform army in the later sense but a force made up of contingents of many nations of the empire, each in its own dress and with its own armament. The backbone was infantry with bows and short spears, which covered itself in battle behind tall wicker shields, with cavalry and allied contingents in addition. The designation Immortals became established for the chosen guard.
The figures are in 1:72 scale and are supplied unpainted. After taking them out of the package, clean them up carefully with a sharp blade and fine sandpaper, and wash and degrease them before painting. A figure that in reality stands around one hundred and seventy centimeters tall measures not quite two and a half centimeters at this scale, so count on fine work.
For collectors of figures of antiquity, for builders of dioramas and for players of tabletop battles who put armies together in 1:72. The manufacturer gives the number of figures and poses on the packaging. Paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
