A set of twenty-eight bushes from the German maker HEKI in sizes from one to six centimeters. The range of sizes is the essential thing here: the smallest pieces will serve as single tufts by walls and fences, the largest as standalone bushes by roads and on field boundaries. It is precisely because the set holds both that a growth can be put together from it which comes across as though it grew by itself and not as though it were planted all at one time.
The bushes are stuck into the landscape in a prepared hole or glued with a drop of white glue. Do not place them individually and at regular intervals but in small groups of two to four pieces of unequal height, because that is how bushes grow in nature. Add a grass tuft or leaf granulate around a group so that the transition from the ground is not abrupt. Put the smaller pieces at the front and the larger ones at the back; the growth thereby gains depth optically.
For builders of layouts and dioramas who fine-tune their low vegetation, and for modelers who need several sizes in one package. The set also suits being split between several scenes, because low vegetation gets used up as you go and a stock of bushes always comes in useful. It is a modeling material, not a toy.
