HEKI Flexible Barberry Hedge, 12x7 mm, 2 pcs

Two strips of model hedge from the German maker HEKI with a profile of twelve by seven millimeters and a length of fifty centimeters. The strip is flexible, so it follows the bends of lanes and the unevenness of the terrain and does not have to be broken into short straight sections. One hundred centimeters of total length in one box is a lot: it covers the perimeter of several gardens or a long hedge along a road.

How to work with the hedge

The strip is cut to the required length with scissors and glued with PVA glue directly onto the base. At bends, lay the strip dry first and bend it, and only then apply the glue. It pays to level the cut ends and, if needed, to sprinkle granulate over them so the cut is not visible. A real hedge is not the same height or density along its whole length, so thin the strip out slightly in places or, conversely, double it up.

One hundred centimeters of hedge in one box covers several plots, so a scene can be fenced in at one go and consistently. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
