Forty coniferous trees 7 to 14 cm tall. The set is built for an area, not for one spot: with forty pieces a whole slope, the edge of a wood or a band of greenery along the line can be planted without your having to buy further packages. These are finished trees from the Heki range, which are not assembled.
Real spruce or fir growth is never leveled to one plane. Make use of the difference between seven and fourteen centimeters, then: plant the taller pieces at the back and on the ridge, the lower ones at the front and at the edges of a clearing, where the wood passes into meadow. Seven to fourteen centimeters corresponds in 1:87 scale to trees roughly 6.1 to 12.2 meters tall, at 1:160 to about 11.2 to 22.4 meters and at 1:35 to approximately 2.5 to 4.9 meters.
With a large number of trees it is worth pre-drilling the holes in the base all at once and only then planting; it goes faster and the spacing stays irregular. Put the pieces with a less attractive crown inside the growth and the best ones at the edge, because the inside of a wood cannot be seen anyway. Hide the transition from the trunks into the terrain with granulate, moss or static grass, and keep the spacing unequal.
For builders of layouts and dioramas who need to forest a larger area from a single package, and for gaming boards with woodland terrain. The base, the terrain, the scatter, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
