HEKI grass mat, light green, 100 x 200 cm

This is not a model or a kit but a finished grass surface. Upright fibers stand in a dense growth on a firm special paper and the light green matches a spring or mown lawn in the sun. It is the counterpart to the dark green mat of the same line, and the two can be combined where a surface is to look uneven. The 100 x 200 cm format gives 2 m² according to the manufacturer. The mat is not tied to a single scale; the manufacturer lists it for the H0, TT, N and Z sizes.

Use

• spring meadows, pastures, mown areas, parks and sunny slopes
• areas around buildings and gardens where the lawn is to look clearly tended
• on a flat board it is cut and then glued like wallpaper with wallpaper, spray or general-purpose adhesive
• hills and slopes come about by reshaping it over crumpled paper balls or over a framework of strips and cardboard
• cut a road, a stream or a track bed by damping the surface, scraping the fibers off with a spatula and repainting with acrylic

Who it is for

For modelers who build fresh landscape at the start of the growing season, and for diorama builders where a light surface is to set off a dark model. Light green readily takes a darker glaze, so places under trees can be darkened from it, while the other way round does not work. The same mat also exists in the 100 x 300 cm format with the identical coloring.
