It is not a kit and not a model of the airplane — it is supplementary markings for a model that you buy separately.
Number sets are among the most practical modeling accessories of all. They let you build a particular machine for which no box has ready-made decals, make up a missing character or bring the markings on a group of models into line. Because the numerals are loose, you can put together any combination you like — which suits building from a period photograph as well as a diorama scene where you need several machines with different numbers.
The most important thing is the layout. Lay the numerals out dry beside the model first, measure the spacings and only then apply them, otherwise an uneven gap will appear that everyone notices. A guide line marked with a pencil on the gloss clear coat or a thin strip of masking tape as a ruler will help. Apply each numeral separately onto a moistened area, line it up against the guide, soak up the excess water and let it dry thoroughly before you reach for the next one. At the end seal it with a clear coat — without it the edges of the individual characters give trouble during weathering.
