A New Ware masking set in the EXPERT range of kabuki tape for a large model of the Supermarine Spitfire in 1:24 scale. The widest level of coverage for a build with no compromises.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut masks of kabuki tape for a large model of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in 1:24 scale, in the widest range the manufacturer offers in this line. The designation EXPERT does not speak of the difficulty of the work, but of how many areas the set is able to cover. It will be reached for by modelers who do not want to finish anything with a brush on a large model.
A large scale reveals every imperfection. What is lost in 1:72 scale is clearly visible on a model the size of 1:24 - which is why with these builds it pays to mask even small windows, lights and areas that would otherwise be left to hand work. A cut mask gives the shape exactly, repeatably and with no trembling hand. The exact list of the places covered on a particular set is on the packaging; it is not repeated here, so as not to promise more than the manufacturer declares.
Degrease the surface, transfer the parts with tweezers and press them down with a toothpick, mainly around the perimeter. Spray thinly and rather more often, so that no step forms on the edge. The procedure is the usual one: the interior color of the frames, the primer, the camouflage. Remove the masks shortly after drying, with a pull at a shallow angle to the surface. Keep the unused rest of the sheet - on a large model it comes in useful for masking the wheels, the exhausts or camouflage transitions.
The set serves for masking while painting. It does not contain a model, paints or glue.
