Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut painting masks for the model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the D-11 version in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki masking tape, that is, from thin Japanese paper with a low-tack adhesive. The paper can be bent over the curve of a canopy without breaking and leaves no sticky residue when removed. The set serves to mask areas that are not to be sprayed and contains neither a model nor paints.
The Fw 190 D version came about by converting an originally radial-engine machine to the inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213, that is, an engine with its cylinders below the crankshaft. Because of it the nose was lengthened, and the tail as well for balance, to which the aircraft owes the nickname long-nose. The D-11 configuration was one of the late and few-built variants, on which the composition of the armament changed and there were no longer any machine guns in the nose.
Lift the masks off the sheet with the sharp point of a scalpel or with tweezers, not with your fingers. Degrease the glazing surface before sticking them down, otherwise the tape will not hold. Press the edges down thoroughly with a toothpick so that paint does not run underneath. Spray thin coats and take the mask off while the paint is dry to the touch, not after days of hardening.
The set contains painting masks only. Neither paints nor a model are included in the package.
