The plastic kit Trumpeter 1:144 HMS Astute captures the modern British Astute class nuclear attack submarine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Chinese maker Trumpeter in 1:144 scale represents the British nuclear attack submarine HMS Astute. The set has a straightforward build with a smaller number of parts and comes with a display base for the finished model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
HMS Astute is the lead boat of the class of the same name of modern British nuclear attack submarines. She was first launched in 2007. The nuclear power plant does not have to be refueled throughout her service life, and the submarine has a smooth, elongated hull whose shape recalls a large marine mammal. She serves on attack and reconnaissance tasks for the Royal Navy.
Glue the hull halves with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully smooth, because a smooth surface is what characterizes a submarine. Use a primer and an airbrush for an even dark finish, and refine the subtle shade transitions and a hint of deposits with a light wash. Seat the finished model on the base provided.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
