A photo-etched detail set for the instrument panel of the German Junkers Ju 87B Stuka dive bomber in 1:24 scale from Airscale. This is not an aircraft kit but a cockpit accessory replacing the simplified instrument panel from the plastic kit. The set brings together multi-layer photo-etched metal, waterslide decals for the dials and clear film simulating the instrument glass.
The Ju 87 Stuka was a German two-seat dive bomber with a characteristic inverted gull wing and fixed landing gear. The B version made its name in the early part of the war; some machines carried sirens whose wailing sound, the Jericho trumpet, went with the dive attack. This set reproduces the cockpit with its period German instrument layout faithfully.
Separate the etched parts and line them up according to the instructions, glue them with cyanoacrylate (super glue) and use tweezers. Lay the dial decals onto the etched openings and, once dry, go over them with a drop of gloss varnish for a glass effect. Paint the base of the panel in the typical German cockpit color (RLM 66) before you apply the decals.
This is a detail set, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
