An injection-molded plastic kit of the Shelby GT350R racing car in 1:24 scale from Revell. The model captures the machine with race number 7, with which the legendary driver Stirling Moss started in the 1966 season in the American SCCA sports championship. The package holds plastic parts, rubber tires, decals and instructions. Check the particular contents and the marking schemes in the instructions with the item.
The Shelby GT350R was the racing and homologation version of the road-going Shelby GT350, which Carroll Shelby derived from the Ford Mustang. The car received a lightened body, a modified chassis and a V8 of around 300 horsepower and became a successful machine in the competitions of the SCCA club. It was precisely its sporting use and the connection with famous names that made it one of the icons of American motor sport of the 1960s and a sought-after collector's item.
Spray the body with an airbrush, and for a deep gloss of the finish we recommend a base color, the color and clear varnish with polishing. Paint and assemble the interior and the engine bay before closing the body up. Treat the chrome and polished items carefully, apply the decals onto a glossy surface and seal them with varnish. The characteristic racing stripes and race numbers will stand out on a carefully prepared glossy base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
