The tiny antennas and sensors 1:32 MiG-21 MF by Quickboost replace the thick plastic parts on a model of the Soviet fighter with finer castings.
Responsibility details are not available.
A group of tiny resin parts that take over on the model from the blade antennas, sensors and probes injected in plastic. Because of the technology those tend to be too thick and look clumsy once painted. The castings have a thinner profile and a sharper outline, so the surface of the airframe looks more faithful. According to the product name the set is intended for the MiG-21 MF kit by Trumpeter.
The MiG-21MF was one of the most built and most exported variants of the whole family. Compared with the older machines it received a more powerful engine, a dorsal tank with a higher profile and gun armament built in under the fuselage, so it no longer had to give up a pylon for a cannon pod. It flew with dozens of air forces from Europe through the Middle East to Southeast Asia, and in Czechoslovakia it formed the backbone of the fighter force for many years. That is precisely why it is a rewarding subject even in the largest scales.
Work over a tray with a raised rim, because these parts are easily lost. Separate them from the casting block with a new blade in one stroke, not by twisting. Degrease the surface before gluing, place the part with tweezers and secure the joint with a drop of super glue applied with a pin. Apply the paint before fitting rather than after, to avoid painting over the surroundings.
