A set of animal figures in 1:35 scale, numbered 39 within the range. Animals are among the elements that give a scene life faster than anything else. As long as only vehicles stand in a scene, even careful work looks like a display exhibit; the moment an animal appears, the scene turns into a place where something is happening. Which species the set contains, and how many, is not stated here; it is given by the manufacturer's data.
It finds a use in a village and country scene, by a yard and a barn, in a garden beside a house and along a road with a column passing down it. It does good service anywhere a scene is meant to tell of everyday life alongside military vehicles too. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread one for dioramas with vehicles and figures, so the set can be combined with the usual range of accessories in the same scale.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry completely, and only then apply the base color. Build the coat up from a darker base toward lighter layers, keep the transitions soft and suggest the lie of the hair by drybrushing along its direction. The eyes are tiny at this scale, and a dark dot is enough; cleanly executed detail looks better than overdone detail. Seat the finished animal so that it stands with its full weight on the base, because a figure resting on only two legs gives itself away. Conceal the gap under the feet with grass, earth or pigment, and finally go over the whole with matte varnish.
Vehicles, buildings, a base, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
