An upgrade and conversion set, Dicker Max, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. It is not a complete model but an accessory intended for the base plastic kit of the German Dicker Max self-propelled gun from the same manufacturer. The set adds fine details that turn an ordinary build into a well-worked model.
The box offers a turned metal gun barrel and several photo-etched frets with fine details such as bolt heads, tool boxes, the floor of the fighting compartment and the rear fenders.
Bend the photo-etched parts on a bending tool or on an edge and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); glue the turned barrel with cyanoacrylate as well. Apply a primer to the metal parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Then bring the details out with a wash and pigments for a weathered effect.
The set is an accessory for the base kit, which it does not contain. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
