This product is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is a set of photo-etched metal parts from the Polish manufacturer Aber for building faithful fenders on models of the Soviet self-propelled guns SU-85, SU-100 and SU-122 in 1:35 scale.
The SU-85, SU-100 and SU-122 were Soviet self-propelled guns built on the chassis of the T-34 tank and used on a massive scale in the Second World War. Their thin sheet metal fenders were often dented or damaged in combat. Photo-etched metal makes it possible to build the fenders at the correct thickness and, if you wish, to distort them realistically, which the coarse plastic from the box does not allow.
Glue the photo-etched sheet with super glue (cyanoacrylate); longer assemblies can be soldered. Form the distortions and bends over a metal ruler or in a bending tool. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. Suitable for modelers with experience of photo-etch.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
