The German 39(H) 10.5 cm detail set, Part 1, in 1:35 scale from Royal Model. Resin and photo-etched parts for refining a model of the German self-propelled gun on the chassis of a captured French tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. It is intended to improve the plastic kit of the German self-propelled gun that was created by mounting a howitzer of 10.5 cm caliber on the chassis of the captured French Hotchkiss H39 tank. The designation Part 1 indicates that this is the first part of a detail set, focused on a selected section of the model. It contains fine resin and photo-etched parts from the Italian maker Royal Model.
After the fall of France in 1940 the Wehrmacht acquired a large number of French tanks. It rebuilt many of them into self-propelled guns; the Hotchkiss H39 chassis served among other things as the carrier of a field howitzer of 10.5 cm caliber. These improvised self-propelled guns served mainly with occupation and second-line units.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up (protect your breathing). Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a primer before painting; the weathering is created with washes and pigments.
This is an additional set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
