A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the German armored recovery vehicle Bergepanther Ausf.A in 1:35 scale from Meng. The kit follows on from the well-regarded Meng Panther range and offers a movable spade and crane, photo-etched parts and a decal sheet. Check the exact package contents against the enclosed instructions.
The Bergepanther was a recovery tank built on the proven chassis of the Panther tank. It served to recover and tow damaged vehicles directly from the battlefield, for which it had a powerful winch, a bracing spade and a slewing crane. Thanks to its capable chassis it could handle even heavy vehicles that ordinary tractors could not manage.
Finish the running gear and the internal spaces before closing up the hull. Assemble the movable crane and the spade carefully so that they stay working. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting; an airbrush suits the German shades, followed by washes and pigments for mud and dust effects, which give a recovery vehicle the convincing patina of working service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
