The German anti-aircraft tanks of the Second World War were created by converting the chassis of battle tanks: in place of the gun turret, a rotating superstructure with a quick-firing anti-aircraft weapon and high side walls that covered the crew was set on the hull. On some types the walls could be folded down so that the weapon could also fire at ground targets. The superstructure stayed open at the top, so it can be seen into on a model and every detail inside shows.

The parts are cut from the fret, bent along the etched score lines and fitted to the model where the sheet is meant to be thin. The extent of the fret, the particular use and the placement of the parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife on a hard surface, not by breaking them out. Make the straight bends along the score lines in a photo-etch bending tool or against the edge of a steel ruler. Metal is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as cement for polystyrene will not hold on it. Finish and paint the inside of the superstructure before you set it on the hull; once it is assembled you will no longer reach the walls and the floor with a brush. Before painting, wash the parts, degrease them and give them a coat of primer.
