A resin set of heads in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures. It serves for swapping heads and for bringing expression to plastic and resin figures. The set contains several heads with well worked-out facial features; the maker supplies its head sets in two sizes, so that they fit figures from different brands. It is an accessory for conversions, not a complete figure.
Interchangeable heads are among the quickest ways to individualize a figure and rid it of a production look. Strong, readable expressions stand out even in a small scale and suit both dioramas and stand-alone figures and busts.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a cutter and sand with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Build the skin up in layers - base, shadows and highlights - in acrylics or oils.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
