A horse in 1:35 scale is a standalone resin casting from the Royal Model brand that brings back into a military or a civilian scene the most widespread draft power of its day.
Responsibility details are not available.
The casting offers the animal in the scale in which most figures and vehicles are built, so it can be harnessed to a wagon, tied up to a wall or left standing loose by a road. The material is resin, the item is a standalone one and the brand released it in 2015.
The idea of the Second World War as an exclusively motorized conflict is misleading. The Wehrmacht committed millions of horses in its course, pulling guns, ammunition wagons, field kitchens and ambulance carts with them, and the armies of Eastern Europe were in much the same position. Infantry divisions moved at the pace of a horse team, not of a truck, so the tempo of an advance was often set by the need to feed and water the animals. A horse therefore belongs in a faithful scene as self-evidently as an armored vehicle, and in a display case it attracts attention at once, because nobody expects it there.
Do not do the coat in a single paint. Lay the base coat darker, and once it has dried go over the body with a dry brush in the direction of the hair and bring out the muscles on the shoulders and the thighs. Keep the head, the lower legs and the mane contrasting; the eyes of animals are large and dark, so a gloss varnish is enough for them. Weather the hooves with dust and mud according to the terrain the scene stands in, and complete the underside of the belly in the same shade.
