An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light tank destroyer Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Revell. The model captures a compact vehicle with markedly sloped armor plates and a gun in the frontal superstructure. The package contains plastic sprues and further parts for building the hull, the running gear and the armament. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t), known by the nickname Hetzer, was a German light tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War. It came about on a proven chassis derived from a Czechoslovak tank and carried a 75 mm anti-tank gun in a low, heavily sloped superstructure. The small dimensions, the good frontal armor and the low silhouette made it a difficult target; the large number of vehicles produced was deployed by the German army and by other states after the war. The Hetzer is among the most popular subjects with modelers.
Build a tracked vehicle in subassemblies. Finish and paint the running gear, the wheels and the tracks before you close the hull. Glue the plastic with a thin modeling glue. Apply a primer before painting; on the Hetzer the late-war three-tone camouflages and the so-called zigzag patterns suggest themselves. You will create the weathering with a dark wash into the recesses, dust pigments on the running gear and emphasis of the edges with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
