A set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale for finishing a model of the German heavy tank destroyer Jagdtiger, cut to the Dragon kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jagdtiger was the heaviest German tank destroyer to reach series production during the Second World War, and it carried the designation Sd.Kfz. 186. On the lengthened chassis of a heavy tank stood a massive armored superstructure with a 12.8 cm gun whose barrel was 55 calibers long. Such a weapon could hit a target at a range where the opponent's fire was ineffective, but the vehicle was heavy, slow and demanding to maintain, and only a few were built. The chassis arose in two forms, known under the designations Henschel and Porsche, which differ in the running gear.
Photo-etched parts of thin metal sheet for the elements that cannot be made in a matching thickness in injection-molded plastic. The set is cut to the Dragon kit. Which parts belong to which form of the chassis and exactly where they go are given by the instructions enclosed with the set.
Cut the parts out of the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface; do not break them out. Make the bends on a bending tool or along a blade, and the edge will then come out straight along its whole length. For gluing, use cyanoacrylate glue in small drops applied with a pin. Before painting, wash the metal, degrease it and spray it with a base color for metal.
For builders of German vehicles who want to take a large model down to the detail. The photo-etched parts are the subject of the delivery. The base kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
