Fine metal parts in 1:35 scale for the heavy JSU-122 and JSU-152 self-propelled guns. Photo-etched parts for both versions built on the chassis of the IS tank, made by Royal Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Metal parts for both versions of the heavy self-propelled gun on the chassis of the IS tank. The contents are shared, because the two machines differ in practically nothing but their armament and small details around the mantlet. A plastic kit of the matching type is assumed, and the photo-etched elements are glued on once the thicker plastic substitutes have been removed.
Once the IS tank came into service, production of the heavy self-propelled guns moved onto its chassis. That gave a pair with a fixed armored superstructure: one carried a 122 mm gun, the other a 152 mm howitzer. They were used for direct fire against fortifications, and in the closing stage of the war they proved themselves in street fighting, where a single round could open up a whole house. Many machines stayed in service long after 1945 and even saw later upgrades.
On these vehicles the fenders and the walking surfaces are always the dirtiest. Apply pigments and mud effects only once all the metal parts are firmly seated, otherwise you will wipe off half of your work while handling the model. Powder also grips more firmly on a slightly rough surface.
Metal parts are included; the vehicle itself, glue and paints are bought separately.
