The American M26 Pershing tank is made more accurate by the photo-etched set 1:35 M 26 PERSHING from the brand Royal Model. The metal fret brings details that an injection mold cannot manage.

This set from the Italian manufacturer aims at the last American tank that still managed to take part in the fighting in Europe. Steel photo-etched metal gives a model thin grilles, loops and rims in a form that a plastic molding cannot offer. It is assumed that you already have the kit itself at home.
The development of the type dragged on because of disputes over whether American armored units needed a heavier machine at all. Only the encounter with German tanks in Normandy settled the dispute. The vehicle was given a 90 mm gun, torsion bar suspension and a lower, more massively shaped hull than the Sherman until then. The first examples reached Europe at the beginning of 1945 and managed only a short, though frequently photographed, period of action, including the well-known duel in the streets of Cologne. The type came fully into its own only five years later in Korea, where it proved a very capable machine.
American olive green is a surface on which every imperfection shows, so fill and sand the transitions between metal and plastic. Seat the metal parts before spraying the primer. The white stars and tactical markings will then come out best on a slightly matte surface, which at the same time holds the subsequent toning.
