The Italian firm Royal Model put this item together for the last large-production version of the Panther. It concentrates on the features where the difference between plastic and sheet metal is most conspicuous on a finished model.
The Ausf. G began to be built in the spring of 1944 and meant above all a simplification of production. The sides of the hull received a greater slope, the cut-out driver's vision port disappeared and a hinged periscope replaced it, and the stowage of ammunition and the shape of the hatches on the roof changed. The cannon of 75 mm caliber with its long barrel remained and was among the most powerful weapons of its caliber at all. In this form the Panther had a more balanced ratio of armor, mobility and firepower than the heavier German machines, but it paid for it with an unreliable final drive.
Start the assembly at the rear, where there is the most work, while the model is still easily accessible. Glue the sheet brackets on only once the previous joint has dried, so that the earlier part does not move. For the late camouflage, soft transitions sprayed at low pressure and completed with scuffed edges are suitable.
