The Aber metal barrel is a turned replacement part in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is not a model but a precise accessory that replaces the plastic barrel of the Soviet 85 mm ZIS-S-53 gun (barrel length L/51.5) on the T-34/85 tank.
The 85 mm ZIS-S-53 gun markedly increased the firepower of the legendary T-34, whose T-34/85 version became one of the most widespread tanks of the Second World War. Compared with a split plastic one, a turned metal barrel is perfectly round, true to its axis and free of seams, with a faithfully made muzzle. The model thus gains a crisp and tough detail without lengthy cleaning up.
Degrease the barrel, clean up the seat in the turret and fit it in place of the plastic part. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the metal with a primer before painting.
