This item is NOT a tank model but a set of replacement tracks. It holds individual plastic track links 580 mm wide, typical of Soviet tanks of the postwar generation (the design of 1946). The links are assembled one by one and, once put together, form a workable track that faithfully follows the shape of the real thing.
The 580 mm track was used by a whole family of Soviet medium tanks and by the machines derived from them, designs growing out of the postwar generation of 1946 and its later variants and licensed versions. The individual link track with its characteristic footprint is among the striking identifying features of these vehicles.
Clean the links of flash, assemble them step by step and let the track sag slightly over the road wheels, as it does on the real vehicle. Add rust, dust pigments and mud to a dark metal base for convincing weathering. The assembly calls for patience.
It is a replacement part, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
