Injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy armored car Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma in 1:35 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model captures the characteristic low rotating turret with the 50 mm gun and the eight-wheeled chassis. Newer editions are usually complemented by photo-etched parts, rubber tires and color instructions; check the exact contents against the particular box.
The Puma was the peak of the development of German heavy reconnaissance armored cars of the end of the Second World War. The eight-wheeled chassis with all-wheel steering, a powerful engine and independent suspension gave the vehicle high mobility and speed across country. The rotating turret with the 50 mm gun made it a full combat reconnaissance machine able to engage lightly armored targets and pull back quickly.
Assemble and paint the eight-wheeled running gear separately before joining it to the hull, as access to the wheels is then easier. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Unify the surface with a primer and spray the camouflage with an airbrush. Create the weathering with dark washes in the details and dust pigments on the wheels and the underside of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
