The follow-on package 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 251/7 Ausf. D - Part. 2 extends the conversion of the engineer half-track with further resin and metal parts. It completes the set listed as the first part.
Responsibility details are not available.
Castings of polyurethane resin are completed with photo-formed metal sheet. The contents continue where the first partial package of the same conversion ends and extend the details of the late production engineer vehicle. It cannot be used without a plastic base.
The engineer squads rode together with the armored grenadiers and their task was to open a way where tracked vehicles could not manage it alone: to clear a minefield, to lay a ramp across a ditch, to blow up an obstacle. The vehicle for them arose by modifying an ordinary carrier and from 1943 it was built on the simplified hull, whose straight sloped plates could be welded far faster than the earlier faceted sides. Engineer cars in period photographs could usually be told by the equipment stacked along the sides and by wear that an ordinary carrier did not have.
First try the seating of the parts dry. Resin likes to go out by a fraction of a millimeter after a casting block has been cut off, and that is better dealt with by sanding than by filling. Degrease the surface, apply a thin primer from a spray can and only then the paint. Do not inhale the dust from sanding; it pays to sand wet. Reinforce joints between resin and plastic with a short pin of wire.
The package does not contain paints or putty.
