A diorama building set capturing the ruin of a typical two-story Sicilian house in 1:35 scale from the Italian manufacturer Royal Model. It is not a model of a vehicle but an architectural set piece for your scene. The basis is finely cast plaster walls completed by photo-etched parts; the surface faithfully imitates cracked render, brick masonry and battle damage to the building.
The ruin of a house is a rewarding foundation for a diorama from the Italian or Mediterranean theater of the Second World War. You place a tank, a vehicle or figures in 1:35 scale around it and create a believable scene of urban fighting. The broken walls and the open interiors allow interesting compositions and views inside.
Glue the plaster parts with PVA glue or super glue and fill the seams with putty or a plaster slurry. Seal the absorbent surface before painting. Lay the base tones of the render and the brick down with an airbrush, then bring out the texture of the masonry with washes, a dry brush and pigments for dust and rubble. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
