A captured T-34/76 in German service in 1:35 scale gets, with this photo-etched set, the thin metal fenders, grilles and accessories with which the new crews modified the vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set to refine a model of the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank operated by the German army at 1:35 size. It offers thin sheet-metal parts and small external equipment the way they looked on the real machine. The plastic kit of the tank is something you have to have obtained.
In the first years of the campaign in the east, German units captured a great many T-34 tanks and put many of them back into service. The vehicles received prominent crosses and sometimes a whole band across the turret, so that their own air force would not mistake them for the enemy. Workshops fitted German commander's cupolas with vision slits, stowage boxes and brackets for their own equipment to them. That produced machines of unmistakable appearance, which served with infantry and armored formations and in the rear against partisans.
With captured equipment it is worth showing the layers: the original finish showing through under the new shade, overpainted markings and quickly painted crosses. The salt or hairspray method for chipping works well, and only after that the dust shades. Prime the metal parts in advance, otherwise the paint underneath will be torn away during the chipping as well.
Supplied as bare metal components; the base model and the chemicals are not included.
