Metal accessories in 1:35 for the Soviet T-55A medium tank replace coarse plastic grilles, loops and covers with thin photo-etched sheet.
Responsibility details are not available.
This metal set from the brand Royal Model serves to refine a plastic model of the Soviet T-55A medium tank. It replaces the coarse moldings of grilles, loops, covers and brackets with thin photo-etched metal, which on a model has a matching thickness of material. The tank itself is part of another package.
The T-55A version came in 1963 and differed mainly in its internal anti-radiation liner and in the omission of the machine gun in the front armor; further rounds took the space freed up. The stabilized D-10T2S gun of 100 mm caliber stayed, as did the low silhouette and the supercharged twelve-cylinder diesel. The type was also produced in Czechoslovakia and in Poland and in licensed and export forms it served on four continents long after the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist. Hundreds of examples have survived in museums, with training units and in the active service of smaller armies.
Seat the brackets on the hull only after the turret has been assembled, otherwise you will break them off during handling. Cyanoacrylate glue in gel form gives you time to level a part; a runny one flows and leaves a white film. Spray the grilles over the engine compartment separately and fit them only after painting.
Obtain the kit, putty and paints separately.
