This accessory package from the Italian brand Royal Model is prepared for the earliest form of the T-34 tank with the 76 mm gun. It replaces coarser plastic elements with more accurate metal ones and adds equipment that an injection mold can only suggest.
The model 1940 was the very first production form of this machine. The identifying marks are the short gun of 76.2 mm caliber set in a pronounced housing of the recoil mechanism above the barrel and the two-man turret with a single large hatch. Only a few hundred examples were built, and yet it was precisely they that in the summer of 1941 caused the attacking units an unpleasant surprise: the steeply sloped armor and the wide tracks made it an opponent that the light anti-tank guns of the day simply could not cope with. The transmission and the poor view of the commander, who served the gun at the same time, remained shortcomings.
Form the flat parts before you separate them from the fret: they are held better that way and the bend comes out more accurately. For straight edges help yourself with a metal ruler. Apply thin cyanoacrylate glue with a pin, so that it does not run over the surroundings. You will imitate the cast surface of the turret by stippling thicker paint or putty; a smooth surface would look unconvincing on this type.
The vehicle itself is supplied separately and is not in this package.
